Jake was a fantastic resource when looking into Citizen Apartments. Though I chose to go another route closer to my work, he was great to talk to and truly gave me all the information I needed. Was open and honest, and treated me not like a customer but like a friend new to the city. Highly recommend Jake and his team!

I cannot recommend this apartment community enough! The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. From my initial inquiry, to my tour and move-in, I felt supported and welcomed. It's been so refreshing to feel such hospitality from the team at Citizen. The building has so many wonderful amenities (pool, study rooms, gym, etc.) The staff also plans engaging and fun resident events where I have met some great folks that I'm lucky to call neighbors. My favorite aspect of all is the location in the historic Volker/39th street neighborhood. Perfect for evening walks and trying local food spots.

Great location, very nice building with nice amenities. Very helpful staff, easy and smooth move in. One bedroom is a really nice size and over looks the pool. This place has everything you need for a good price, very happy here!

-New building -great location -management staff has been fantastic going above and beyond anytime I need anything -couple maintenance issues were taken care of immediately. One of which I caused and in former building probably would have been charged to fix but they took care of it under what I assume is a policy of 'well shit happens and we're here to help not make things worse for our tenants'. -I love my unit everything is new and is very fairly priced. I don't feel like I'm being taken advantage of paying rent every month like I typically have at other apartments -pool just opened and is a really communal space I have no serious complaints which if you knew me says a lot. Keep up the good work citizen team and thank you form among my move back to KC feel like the right decision

My time at Citizen has been great so far. The staff are always helpful when needed, and with my busy travel schedule, it’s reassuring to know my apartment is safe and well taken care of while I’m away. I’ve also really enjoyed the community events—my favorite so far has been the take-and-bake pizza. It’s such a nice touch to have an easy dinner option without the extra planning. Thank you for making life a little easier, Citizen staff!

Emily is amazing! She gave us a great tour, was very professional, and she was well informed about the property. I ended up applying for one of the apartments. When I called to ask some questions about the lease, Emily continued to display the professionalism and knowledgeability promised. I am now going to sign. Thank you Emily!

Jake was so helpful on my tour! Applied same day. After seeing a multitude of different communities, this appears to be above and beyond what you can get compared to most all in the kc area in the same price range.

5 stars to Citizen, 39th St, and the staff (management and maintenance). I don’t give reviews, but Citizen earned this one. I toured apartments all over town (from River Market to Lenexa), and was unsatisfied with building conditions, staff, and/or prices. I fell upon Citizen and 39th St. by chance. The building is brand new. That means new carpet, new appliances, new drywall, new gym, new grills, and your pick of the litter (units). Everything is as-expected and a better price point than anywhere else I looked. My biggest concern moving in was new-building growing pains. Everyone has a horror story. That being said, I have been pleasantly surprised. This building has been solid. The growing pains have been only minor inconveniences. I've run into my fair share of problems over the years (multiple cities and properties) with living conditions, staff, landlords, safety, prices, maintenance; you name it.
